This Black Throw Quilt, Yellow Green Stars, Handmade Modern Blanket

Deep black fabric with vivid yellow and neon green stars gives this large throw quilt a dramatic modern look. The colors shift depending on the lighting, giving a striking glow-like effect in natural light.

I designed The Night Sky Quilt to feel bold and graphic. I wanted it to evoke bright stars against a dark sky.

The quilt is machine pieced and straight-line quilted on my home machine. I used invisible polyester thread on the front so the quilting adds texture and subtle shimmer without competing with the design. The backing is a patterned grey cotton fabric quilted with variegated grey cotton thread. i envisioned the back as dusk when the sun has set, but before the stars are visible in the dark sky.

The quilt has enough weight to feel cozy without being overly heavy and works beautifully as both functional bedding and statement decor.
